Atlantic Echoes
A glorious overview of the Anglo-Portuguese Alliance – in music!
About the Concert
Join us at the beautiful St Paul’s Church, Covent Garden on 4 November 2025 for Atlantic Echoes, a concert that celebrates the rich musical dialogue between Portugal and the United Kingdom.
This special evening brings together some of today’s most remarkable talent from both shores of the Atlantic:
João Paulo Ferreira – countertenor
Cristian de Sá – violin
Alexander Moss – bassoon
Julian Gallant – piano
The programme spans centuries and styles, from early Portuguese songbooks and Baroque oratorios to the timeless lyricism of Purcell, Freitas Branco, and Jayme Ovalle. Alongside these, expect beloved classics such as Bésame mucho and Por una cabeza, reimagined with elegance and flair.
This promises to be a memorable evening of music, cultural exchange, and artistic excellence.
